I hope you had a fabulous Labor Day weekend!  It was a nice break after such a great start to our year.  I hope you all had a chance to refresh so that the next eight days will go by quickly.  Then it will be time for our September break.  Already.  Can you believe it?

 
I was telling the students today that it's very important to be practicing math facts (+, -, x, and /), even if it's above and beyond the expected homework time each evening.  Remember, knowing math facts makes SO many of our math skills much easier to master!  I can't stress enough how important it is!

Thank you to all the families who came to Milford for our Open House - Milford 101 and our first PTA meeting of the year.  We love to see families involved in students' education and look forward to the many opportunities you have this year to become more involved.  Studies show that students whose parents are involved in their activities do better in their academics.  If you did not receive the paper of upcoming dates throughout the year, please let me know, and I'll send home a new one!
